      Rescued Tiger Oscar

SSS Rescue, Inc.

... is a  non-profit, 501(c)(3)  organization that  accepts donated reptiles, amphibians , fish (both freshwater and saltwater), and non-native birds.    We also accept food, cages, accessories, and other items associated with the keeping and caring for of these animals.

We also rescue and accept abandoned, unwanted, lost or confiscated indigenous and non-indigenous  animals that are not normally supported by the traditional animal welfare or support organizations.   We work with animals  with scales such as birds, reptiles, and fish but also include amphibians.  Mammals are not be accepted by SSS Rescue, Inc. because of the many existing organizations that already accept those animals.   All animals rescued by SSS Rescue, Inc. shall be maintained and cared for until they are adopted by the general public, returned to their native habitat or otherwise transferred to other organizations that will maintain the animals in an acceptable manner, such as zoos or exotic wildlife sanctuaries.  Remember;  NEVER release non-native animals into the wild.

We also....

... accept donations of animal food, supportive equipment, cages, accessories, protective devices, and virtualizing technology to facilitate internet and other mass media presence, exhibition facilities, transport equipment to include specialty vehicles, and welcome the support of volunteers to maintain both animals and facilities.

We strive to increase the public awareness of the special habitat, food, and social interactions that many of these animals require in  order to survive.   We educate the public on existing laws regarding possession, distribution, and purchase of these animals.  We utilize  media campaigns, public presentations to include in-school activities, and through the virtualized world of the internet and other mass media to get the word out that these animals are best enjoyed watching them on TV rather than having one in your basement.

Upon request,  we  provide our expertise and support to animal control, customs, law enforcement organizations at no charge in the rescue of these animals to include extraction, adoption, and caretaking of the animals until suitable permanent locations to support the animals can be found.

We hope to....

... provide an exhibition activity to the general public at some point in the future so the public can interact with these rescued animals in a controlled manner.     We will educate the general public on the advanced care requirements many of these animals have that make them unsuitable as pets to the general public.   The exhibition shall facilitate the adoption of animals, both physically and virtually.   The general public shall be able to virtually see their adopted pets over the internet via cameras and social networking sites as well as physically visit their adopted animals and interact with the animal in a controlled environment under the supervision of experienced handlers and caretakers.
